Meet Our Guest Coaches
Ruby Cross began her ballet journey at the Amanda Bollinger Dance Academy, where she cultivated her passion and honed her skills. Throughout her training, she competed in a variety of international and national ballet competitions, consistently showcasing her exceptional talent. In 2019, Ruby participated in the prestigious Prix De Lausanne competition, marking a significant milestone in her growing career.
After receiving scholarships from various esteemed ballet schools, Ruby chose to attend the Upper School, where she continued to excel. Graduating in 2022, she distinguished herself by winning multiple awards, including the Endeavour and Achievement Award in her first year, highlighting her dedication and hard work.
Ruby has gained extensive experience working with renowned companies such as the Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet, performing in numerous productions, including the Royal Ballet’s iconic Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet and Birmingham Royal Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker. We are thrilled to have Ruby join us for our upcoming holiday intensive on the 5th of July, where her expertise and passion for ballet will inspire all participants!

Julia Shugart
Julia began her ballet training at the age of 8 at the All American Classical Ballet School in her hometown of Tampa, Florida. During her years there, she honed her technical skill and artistic expression, achieving success in numerous ballet competitions. In 2019, Julia earned recognition as a finalist and winner of the Best Young Talent Prize at the Prix de Lausanne.
At the age of 16, Julia moved to London to continue her education at the Royal Ballet Upper School. Throughout her studies she was privileged to work with renowned choreographers of the ballet world, and have the opportunity to perform with the Royal Ballet Company in their production of Romeo and Juliet and with Birmingham Royal Ballet in their production of The Nutcracker.
Upon graduating from the Royal Ballet School in 2022, Julia joined the Cape Town City Ballet in South Africa as a professional dancer. There, she performed a wide repertoire, including celebrated works such as Romeo and Juliet, Serenade, Cinderella, Carmen, and A Christmas Carol.
Since leaving Cape Town City Ballet, Julia has loved passing on her passion through teaching. She is currently teaching at Colorado Ballet Society in the USA.
